Marion Russell Clement Brooks
Marion was born on June 30th, 1923. Marion's father was
James Raymond Brooks and her mother was
Mary Jane Webster. Her maternal grandparents were
Alexander Webster and
Helen Sutherland. She had two sisters named
Helen and
Winifred. She was the second oldest of the three children.
During the Second World War she volunteered on 15th August 1941 and served in the ATS, she was just eighteen years of age at the time. It was whilst she was serving in the army that she met her future husband, James.
Marriage records show that she was residing at 23 Kelvinside Terrace, Glasgow at the time of her marriage.
