Stephen B Bailes
Stephen was born in 1910. Stephen's father was
George James Bailes and his mother was
Florence Goody. His maternal grandparents were
Daniel Thomas Goody and
Hannah Ann Hall. He had two brothers and three sisters, named

Maud. He is the fifth oldest of the six children.
Birth was registered between July-Sept 1910 in Mile End Registration District at the same time as his twin brother Joseph.
1911 Census shows that he was 0 years of age and living in Mile End Old Town, London.
When his mother died he was cared for by other members of the family. We believe that as his children's surname is Sumner that he may have been adopted and have changed his own surname to Sumner.
After his mother's death Joe was placed in the care of an aunt.
