William Goody
William was born in 1806. William's father was
William Goody and his mother was
Elizabeth Church. His paternal grandparents were
William Goody and
Elizabeth Pepper. He had five brothers and three sisters, named

Elizabeth,
Susanna and
Emma. He was the second oldest of the nine children.
Parish records show that he was christened in St Andrews Church, Halstead, Essex on 6th March 1806. The actual date of birth is not recorded in the baptism records.
1841 Census shows that he was 33 years of age and living in Halstead, Essex.
1861 Census shows he was born in Halstead in 1808 which is impossible as he was christened in 1806. 1861 Census shows his surname spelt as GOODEY and that he was living in North Street, Barking, Essex.

Death Notes
Death was registered between April-June 1874 in Romford Registration District under the surname GOODEY at 67 years of age.
His death certificate shows that he died on 20th April 1874 of Senile Gangrene in the presence of his son, D Goodey whilst residing at North Street, Barking, Essex.
Died at the age of 68 on April 20th, 1874.
