Harriet was born on August 1st, 1887. Harriet's father was
Daniel Thomas Goody and her mother was
Hannah Ann Hall. Her paternal grandparents were
William Henry Goody and
Jane Elizabeth Honeywell. She had five brothers and five sisters, named

Sarah. She was the youngest of the eleven children.
She was christened at St Dunstan & All Saints' Church, Stepney on 9th June 1891 by E Hoskyns. She was 3 years of age and her father had died in 1890. She was living at 25 Duckett Street, Stepney when she was christened.
