Male Claude Augustus Goodey

Claude was born in 1888.  Claude's father was James Frederick Goodey and his mother was Elizabeth Anne Stock.  His paternal grandparents were James Frederic Goody and Emma Draper. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Ralph, Clarence, May, Nora and Queenie.  He was the fourth oldest of the six children.

General Notes

Birth was registered between July-Sept 1888 in Colchester Registration District.
Parish records show that he was christened in St Botolph Church, Colchester, Essex on 2nd March 1897 by R S John Mitchell whilst the family were living at Granville Road, Colchester, Essex on the same day as his brother Ralph Herbert and sister Nora Marguerite.
1891 Census shows that he was 2 years of age and living in Colchester First Ward, Colchester, Essex.
1901 Census shows that he was 12 years of age, born in Colchester, Essex and living at 9 Granville Road, St Botolph, Colchester, Essex.
1911 Census shows that he was 22 years of age, born in Colchester, Essex and living in 31 Old Heath Road, Colchester, Essex.
1952 National Probate and Will records show the following:
Claude Augustus of 92 Military-road Colchester died 1 February 1952 Probate Ipswich 17 June to Florence Maud Goodey widow and Hugh Dudley Pawsey solicitor. Effects £5374 8s. 1d.

Death Notes

Death was registered between Jan-Mar 1952 in Colchester Registration District at 63 years of age. Died at the age of 64 on February 1st, 1952.

Claude's family with Florence M Cansdale

Claude and Florence were married on November 30th, 1915.  They had three sons and two daughters, named William, George, Frederick, Violet and Minnie.
