George Frederick Wilkey
George was born on September 17th, 1915. George's father was
Alfred Walter Wilkey and his mother was
Harriet Emma Goody.
His paternal grandparents were
Daniel Thomas Goody and
Hannah Ann Hall.
He had two brothers and a sister, named
Joseph,
Thomas and
Annie. He was the third oldest of the four children.

We are reliably informed that George was known to everyone as "Wally" after his father.
He was a complete eccentric and used to write to Winston Churchill quite often and certainly had replies from him.
1939 Electoral records show that he was living at 25 Duckett Street, Stepney, London. During the Second World War this area of London was very badly bombed and they moved from 25 Duckett Street to a ground floor flat in Searle House, Duckett Street, Stepney, London after their home was bombed.
