1901 Census shows that he was 13 years of age, born in North Shields, Northumberland and living at 1 Bull Ring, Tynemouth, Northumberland.
1911 Census shows that he was 23 years of age, born in North Shields, Northumberland and living in 1 Bull Ring, Tynemouth, Northumberland.
First World War records show that he enlisted on 9th December 1915 in North Shields, Northumberland and that his occupation was shown as Labourer.  He was residing at 26 Bull Ring, North Shields, Northumberland at the time.  He was discharged on 28th March 1919 after serving as a Gunner in the Royal Garrison Artillery, Service Number 175671. He was awarded the Silver War Badge Number B.185702 on 16th May 1919
1939 Register shows that he was living in 60 Holywell Road, Tynemouth.  The register also shows that he was Incapacitated and living on Private Means.
1952 National Probate and Will records show the following:
Gustafson Stanley Oswin of 6 Weldon-place North Shields died 16 April 1952 at The Royal Victoria Infirmary Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Administration Newcastle-upon-Tyne 8 July to Rhoda Gustafson widow. Effects £608 13s 3d.

Death Notes

Death was registered between April-June 1952 in Newcastle uopn Tyne Registration District at 64 years of age. Died at the age of 64 on April 16th, 1952.
