William Goody
William was born on April 18th, 1818. William's father was
James Goody and his mother was
Lucy Balls. His paternal grandparents were
Thomas Goody and
Jane Pepper. He had three brothers and a sister, named

Lucy. He was the third oldest of the five children.

1851 Census shows that he was 33 years of age, born in Layer Breton, Essex and living with his brother John and sister-in-law Sarah Ann at Birch Green, Birch, Essex. The census shows his surname as GOODDY.
1881 Census shows that he was 62 years of age, born in Layer Breton. Essex and lodging with William and Emma Gooday at Birch End, Birch, Essex.
