Male Owen Eugene Goody

Owen was born on 9th March 1880.  Owen's father was Owen Eugene Goody and his mother was Mary Ann Collins.  His paternal grandfather was Samuel Goody and his paternal grandmother is Mary Ann Butler. He had three brothers named William, Albert and Walter.  He was the oldest of the four children.

1891 Census shows that he was 11 years of age, born in Shoreditch, London and living in 34 Pearson Street, Haggerstone, Shoreditch, London.
1901 Census shows that he was 21 years of age, born in Haggerston, London and living in 18 Shap Street, St Leonard, Shoreditch, London.
1911 Census shows that he was 31 years of age, born in Kingsland, London and living in 243 Northwold Road, Clapton, Stoke Newington, London.
1939 Register shows that he was living at a public house (probably The Ossory Arms) in Ossory Road, Camberwell, London.

Owen Eugene of The Ossory Arms Public House Ossory-road Camberwell London S.E.5 died 7 October 1944 Administration Llandudno 25 November to Violet Alice Mary Diver (wife of Henry Diver). Effects: £5468 6s.
1951 National Probate and Will records show the following:
Owen Eugene of The Ossary Arms Public House 47 Ossary-road Camberwell London S.E.5 died 7 October 1944 Administration (limited) London 25 July to the Official Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Judicature. Effects: £1661 0s 2d. Former Grant P.R. 25 November 1944.

Parish records at the time of his marriage show that he was a Publican.
1911 Census shows that he was a Beer Seller.
1939 Register shows that he was a Licensed Victualler.

Death Notes

Death was registered between Oct-Dec 1938 in Camberwell Registration District at 65 years of age. Died at the age of 64 on 7th October 1944.

Owen's family with Ruby Gertrude Nicholson

Owen and Ruby were married in a religious & civil ceremony on January 1st, 1908.  They had two daughters named Ruby and Violet.
Marriage was registered between Jan-Mar 1908 in Shoreditch Registration District.
Parish records show that they were married in St Leonard's Church, Shoreditch, London on 1st January 1908 by E H Tuck, Curate.
The witnesses were Edward Nicholson and Sarah Ann Vile.
Owen is shown as being a bachelor and he was living at 6 Long Street, Shoreditch, London.
