Parish records show that she was christened in St Laurence Church, Ridgewell, Essex on 20th June 1829 by Lewis Way and that the family were from Tilbury Juxta Clare, Essex.
1841 Census shows that she was 12 years of age and living in Tilbury Juxta Clare, Essex.
