John William Goody
John was born on September 5th, 1890. John's father was
Harry Goody and his mother was
Lydia Rebecca Rogers. His paternal grandparents were
John Goody and
Susannah H Partner. He had three brothers and six sisters, named
Frederick,
Kenneth,
George,
Emily,
Minnie,
Margaret,
Alice,
Elizabeth and
Ethel. He was the oldest of the ten children.
Parish records show that he was christened in All Saints Church, Messing, Essex on 2nd November 1890.
1901 Census shows that he was living at the Royal Institution for the Deaf and Dumb in Derby and that he had been deaf and dumb from birth.

Died at the age of 18 in 1908.
