James Goody
James was born in 1889. James' father was
James Goody and his mother was
Rachel Coppin. His paternal grandparents were
Thomas Goody and
Emily Reeve. He had two brothers and three sisters, named
Edward,
Frederick,
Emily,
Rachel and
Daisy. He was the third oldest of the six children.
Birth was registered between July-Sept 1889 in Newmarket Registration District.
1891 Census shows that he was 1 year of age, born in Kirtling, Cambrdigeshire and living in Cottage, Upend Road, Kirtling, Cambridgeshire.
1901 Census shows he was 11 years of age, born in Kirtling, Cambridgeshire and living at Vicarage Farm Cottage, Kirtling Entire, Cambridgeshire.
Death Notes
He was killed whilst serving as a Private in the 1st Bn., Suffolk Regiment. His name is shown on the YPRES (MENIN GATE) MEMORIAL at Ieper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium on Grave or Reference Panel Number: Panel 21. His parents were living at 2 Brighton Terrace, Queen St., Newmarket, Suffolk at the time of his death.
Died at the age of 26 on February 18th, 1915.
