Harriet was born on February 19th, 1856. Harriet's father was
Samuel Goody and her mother is
Elizabeth Appleby. Her paternal grandparents were

1861 Census shows that she was 5 years of age, born in Layer De La Hay, Essex and living at On The Cross, Layer De La Hay, Essex. Her name was shown as HANNAH GOODEY in this census.
1871 Census shows that she was 14 years of age, born in Layer de la Haye, Essex and living in Great Wigborough, Essex under the surname GOODEY.
