Harriet was born in 1836. Harriet's father is
James Goody and her mother is
Harriet ?????. Her paternal grandparents are
James Goody and
Sarah Smith. She had a brother and three sisters, named
James,
Sarah,
Mary and
Emma. She is the second oldest of the five children.
Parish records show that she was christened in St Andrews Church, Halstead, Essex on 5th April 1836 by William Adams and that her father was a Carpenter.
1841 Census shows that she was 5 years of age, born in the county of Essex and living at Manfield, Halstead, Essex.
