Male George Henry Goody

George was born on July 29th, 1881.  George's father was Daniel Henry Goody and his mother was Alice Sorwood. He had two brothers and a sister, named Frank, Alfred and Millie.  He was the oldest of the four children.

General Notes

Birth was registered between July-Sept 1881 in Braintree Registration District.
1891 Census shows that he was 9 years of age and living in Witham, Essex.
1901 Census shows that he was 21 years of age, born in Witham, Essex and boarding at The Cottages, Hooks Hall, Dagenham, Essex.
British Army WWI Service Records show that he enlisted in Grove Park on 25th May 1916 and was discharge on 22nd September 1919 and received the 1914-1915 Star, Victory and British War medals.
1939 Register shows that he was living in Salisbury Road, Reading, Berkshire.
1956 National Probate and Will records show the following:
George Henry of 92 Salisbury-road Reading died 20 November 1955 Administration (with Will) Oxford 24 May to Albert Edward Hall telephonist.  Effects: £645 7s 1d.

1901 Census shows that he was a Horse Keeper on a Farm.
1939 Register shows that he was a Bus Driver.
1950 National Probate and Wills records show that he was a Jewellers Porter.

Death Notes

Death was regisered between Oct-Dec 1955 in Reading Registration District at 74 years of age. Died at the age of 74 on November 20th, 1955.
