George Goody
George was born in 1816. George's father was
Edward Goody and his mother was
Grace Parkinson. His paternal grandparents were
William Goody and
Sarah Wicker. He had two brothers and two sisters, named
Edward,
George,
Louisa and
Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the five children.
Parish records show that he was christened in St Andrews Church, Halstead, Essex on 3rd November 1816 by William Adams. His father, Edward, was a Husbandman at the time.
