Parish records show that she was christened in St Mary The Virgin Church, Layer Marney, Essex on 4th June 1865 by Samuel Farman.
1871 Census shows that she was 5 years of age and living in Tollesbury, Maldon.
1881 Census shows she was the stepdaughter of Henry A Lufton who had married her mother Mary Ann Goody in Maldon Registration District between Oct-Dec 1871. 1881 Census also shows that Esther was born in Lazermary, Essex but this should read Layer Marney, Essex.
1901 Census shows she was 34 years of age, born in Great Totham, Essex and living in Inworth, Essex.
ESTHER IS THE FIRST COUSIN OF ARTHUR, HER HUSBAND. HE IS SHOWN AROUND THE MIDDLE OF THIS TREE. WE HAVE ENTERED HER TWICE AS IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO JOIN ARTHUR AND ESTHER WITHIN THIS TREE.
