Male Alfred John Goody

Alfred was born in 1814.  Alfred's father is James Goody and his mother is Sarah Smith.  His paternal grandparents are Joseph Goody and Ann Wicker. He had four brothers and eight sisters, named James, Jabez, Frederic, Charles, Sarah, Hannah, Matilda, Mary, Thermutha, Emma, Charlotte and Angelina.  He is the second oldest of the thirteen children.

General Notes

Christened in St Andrews Church, Halstead, Essex on 6th February 1814 by John Thomas Nottidge.
1841 Census shows that he was 30 years of age, living in New Street, Stepney, Middlesex but was not born in Middlesex.
1861 Census shows that he was 47 years of age, born in Halstead, Essex and living in Mile End Old Town Western, Middlesex.
1871 Census shows that he was 56 years of age, born in Halstead, Essex and living in Mile End Old Town Eastern, Middlesex. His name was shown as ALFRED J GOODEY in this census.

1841 Census shows he was a Wheelwright.

Alfred and Charlotte were married on July 13th, 1834.
Marriage was registered between July-Sept 1834 in Halstead Registration District.
Parish records show that they were married in St Andrews Church, Halstead, Essex on 13th July 1834 by William Adams.
They were both illiterate.
