Male Alfred Ernest Goody

Alfred was born in 1883.  Alfred's father was Mark James Goody and his mother was Charlotte Golding.  His paternal grandparents were Isaac Goody and Phoebe Brett. He had six brothers and three sisters, named James, Herbert, Thomas, Horace, Edgar, Frederick, Elizabeth, Isabella and Ida.  He was the nineth oldest of the ten children.

1901 census shows he was 17 years of age, born in Tilbury Juxta Clare, Essex and living at Tilbury Hill, Tilbury Juxta Clare, Essex.
1911 Census shows that he was 27 years of age, born in Tilbury, Essex and living at 16 Borough Hill, Kingston upon Thames, Surrey.
1939 Register shows that he was living in 23 Windsor Road, Islington, London.
1963 National Probate and Wills records show that probate was awarded to Florence Ellen Goody, widow on ????29th April for effects valued at £309 2s.

Parish records at the time of his marriage show that he was a Grocer.
1911 Census shows that he was an Insurance Collector.
1939 Register shows that he was a Trolley Bus Driver.

Death Notes

Death was registered between Jan-Mar 1963 in Islington Registration District at 79 years of age.
He was residing at 23 Windsor Road, London N7 at the time of his death. Died at the age of 80 on January 29th, 1963.

Alfred's first family with Barbara Jane Bishop

Alfred and Barbara were married in a religious & civil ceremony on October 4th, 1910.
Marriage was registered between Oct-Dec 1910 in Fulham Registration District.
Parish records show that they were married in All Saints Church, Fulham, London on 4th October 1910 by G H Bourne Barton, Assistant Priest.
The witnesses were Thomas Bishop and Horace Arthur Goody.
Alfred was shown as being a bachelor and Barbara as a spinster.  They were both shown as residing at 2 Dolby Road, Fulham, London.
