Marjorie Ellen Goodey
Marjorie was born on April 25th, 1925. Marjorie's father was
Harold Goodey and her mother was
Ellen Mary Boyce. Her paternal grandparents were
Edward Goodey and
Ellen Cox. She had a brother and two sisters, named
Harold,
Joan and
Evelyn. She was the oldest of the four children.

Marjorie was born in Stanhope Road, New Southgate in North London She spent most of her life in Whetstone, North London; with short periods spent in Plymouth and Newcastle upon Tyne.
She worked hard her whole life. Firstly working in a factory doing war work and later working for Sainsburys while bringing up her two young daughters on her own. She was later so proud when she secured an office job with the Electricity Board, first in Finchley and then in the City of London where she worked until her retirement. Whereupon she continued to enjoy very active social life with her many friends.
She had great fun celebrating her 80th birthday culminating in a longed for trip on the Orient Express. Her life always revolved around her family and theirs around hers. She is very sadly missed.
