Male Jeremiah Stannard Goodey

Jeremiah was born in 1850.  Jeremiah's father was Golden Gooday and his mother was Mary Ann Elizabeth Willsher.  His paternal grandparents were Joseph Gooday and Elizabeth Arnold. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Golden, William, Frank, Joseph, James, Mary, Elizabeth, Anna and Maria.  He was the sixth oldest of the ten children.

Parish records show that he was christened on 13th October 1850 in St Barnabas Church, Chapel, Essex by J Harryvince.
1851 Census shows that he was 6 months of age, born in Chapel, Essex and living at Oak Farm, Chapel, Essex.  The surname is spelt GOODEY in this census.
1861 Census shows that he was 10 years of age, born in Chappel, Essex and living at Barrie House, Colchester Road, Chappel, Essex.  The surname is shown as GOODEY in this census.
1871 Census shows that he was 19 years of age, born in Chappel, Essex and living at Broom House, Chappel, Essex.
1881 Census shows that he was 29 years of age, born in Chappel, Essex and living at Broom House, Chappel, Essex.
1901 Census shows that he was 50 years of age, born in Chappel, Essex and living in Church House Farm,Aldham, Essex.
1904 National Probate and Will records show the following:
Jeremiah Stannard of Church House-farm Aldham Essex died 23 December 1903 Probate London 27 February to Elizabeth Goodey widow and Frederick William Wilson corn-dealer. Effects £1719 8s 8d.

Death Notes

Death was registered between Jan-Mar 1904 in Lexden Registration District at 53 years of age under the name JEREMIAH SAMUEL GOODEY. Died at the age of 54 on 23rd December 1903.
